I watched the Thomas Crown Affair today. I smiled, especially at this part. Mostly because of the song. Its just smooth, all of it.
Sinnerman - Nina Simone
I would like to add, if you haven’t watched this film, I suggest you do so before watching this clip - which unceremoniously ruins it, otherwise.

I haven’t written in a while. Words haven’t sprung to mind like they have done in the past. I feel thats a good thing; the best friendships are those where time spent together in silence can be almost more memorable than that of a conversation. That is to say this is a friendship? My friend and I were talking about companions. Why do you name your car? Your teddy (if you have one?).. This is not to suggest everyone does this. It is common though? But its a object surely, yet we personify them?
This conversation had begun as I had asked her what the name of her guitar was. To which, she replied it doesn’t have a name. I firmly believe that one carrying a guitar carries it as a companion, for it is more than an object. An object of that size is somewhat inconvenient to carry, whereas one might feel naked without the lumbering elegance of your guitar. It defines a part of you, and in my eyes takes its place in your life as a companion, and should have a name. The wonderful thing about music is this shared love for it, that weaves in and out of everyone’s being, at one stage or another, and such a guitar can create that powerful bond of friendship instantly. Magical.
In retrospect, its only a shame I cannot play such an instrument..

I’d be intrigued as to whether this’ll live up to the provoking-intoxicating-liberating nature of the book. . Everyone should read it, sooner rather than later.

“Everyone has different opinions and feelings that can be expressed through words, sometimes body language; but who knows whether it’s true or not? No-one can be fully aware of what is going on in other individuals minds.
People judge too easily and first impressions can alter. I produce my work using ink and paper, from a distance you will see a black and white image. Upon moving closer you will see the image is made using hand-written text. The content of the image is always written by, or concerning the person in the completed piece of art”.Quote: Annemarie Wright, Artist
